On Saturday, May 21st, ShelterBox was at the "Bjørnehælpsdag" at the Town Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen"), Copenhagen.
The weather was wonderful and we were allotted a prime spot. Københavns Rotary Klub was responsible for the arrangement, and Susanne Frank and Lena Bjerre were represented. They were assisted by Henrik Svane (Virum RC) and Steve Pickering (Copenhagen International Rotary Club)
The aim was to raise awareness for ShelterBox and with the constant stream of tourists passing by, this goal was certainly acheived. There were visitors from England, Germany, Bolivia, Zambia, USA, The Netherlands, Norway and Thailand among others. Of course, there were also Danish visitors.
All in all, a fine day was had by all and more people have found out about the fantastic work that ShelterBox does to provide shelter, warmth and dignity to victims of disasters.
